Selections from “my butch”, 2023, digital photography | artist statement

“my butch” includes both cinematic, B&W photos and dreamy, warm color in order to emphasize duality. I seek to convey the beauty and sanctity of butch-femme dynamics and the  ways they blur and negotiate masculinity, femininity, and transness. Through framing my butch  partner with my femme perspective, a sense of intimacy and vulnerability is created with  strength, softness, sensuality, and warmth.
